Kirra  is our  "awesome" surgical nurse she is qualified with a Cert IV in Vet Nursing. She is in charge of monitoring anaesthetics and cuddling your pet as they recover from surgeries. She has a strong passion in Dental Hygiene (ask her how to brush you pet's teeth!), Kirra enjoys spending time with her dogs Ollie, a Pyrenean Mountain Dog and Beanz, a French Bull Dog and her cat Bunny.

Veterinary Nurse

The delightful Jamie joined the Hope Island Team in 2019 after graduating with a Veterinary Biology degree from UQ. She is currently studying to become a fully qualified veterinary nurse. Jamie has a keen interest in welfare, wildlife, and surgery. When she isn’t at work, she spends her free time playing with her two cats, Skimbleshanks and Big Bargins, a turtle named Merrick, and Moe the Bristlenose Pleco.

An Award Winning Groomer extraordinaire, Sue joined us after moving from Melbourne and closing the grooming shop doors behind her. This multi talented woman owns and breeds Giant Schnauzers and is also a Vet Nurse. She is a wealth of knowledge and experience, so don't be scared to pick her brain.

 Groomer/Vet Nurse

Grooming goddess Eva runs the doggy salon on Mondays so if your pet needs a spruce or a bath Eva's your girl. She goes home to a zoo of animals including fish, turtles, guinea pigs, crazy cat and bird. This glutton for punishment would eagerly have more pets if she could. Eva is studying her Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing and enjoys the outdoors when she's not studying.
